The project comprised of two separate buildings including a Grandstand and Clubroom; each consists of multiple change rooms, shower facilities, umpires rooms, physio rooms and store rooms. External works included soft and hard landscaping to integrate the two separate building with the existing facility.

Both the Grandstand and the Clubroom building have a steel-structured free-standing canopy to create a large external covered viewing spaces, the canopy to the Grandstand covers a large tiered concrete seating area overlooking the existing soccer grounds.

Due to the short contract programme, the project team were required to sequence works to construct the tiered seating and steel canopy concurrently, rather than successively. To enable this a bird cage scaffold was installed to the soffit of the canopy which allowed the construction of the tiered seating to proceed whilst the canopy panels were being manufactured offsite.
