The establishment of the Fremantle Park Sport & Community Centre entailed the staged demolition of the existing bowls and tennis clubrooms and construction of a new multi-use facility to benefit the community and club members alike. As part of the development, an existing bowling green and parking area was removed to make way for the construction of a new synthetic bowling green and world-class synthetic tennis courts.

We worked closely with the City of Fremantle taking on the project as design and construct. The design of the structure was rationalised whilst adapting the facility to suit the client’s needs. We were able to provide the client cost savings in excess of 15% of the project value which was then reinvested into the project to provide additional upgrades for the community such as sport field lighting, upgraded fencing, new greenkeepers facilities, paving and landscaping, and drinking fountains.

The project was deemed an overwhelming success by the City of Fremantle as the project was completed on time and on budget, and to an exceptional standard. The City of Fremantle has since begun to review their tendering practices in light of this successful ECI procurement experience.
