The redevelopment of the Diamond Valley Sports & Fitness Centre was a crucial project that responded to the current and emerging needs of the community and local sporting associations.

The project consisted of extending the existing facility to almost double in size, with new courts and an administration building. The extension is comprised of four new courts for basketball, netball, volleyball and badminton; a new entrance with reception, kiosk and café areas; an expanded gym; and new toilets and change rooms. In addition, some of the existing facility was refurbished with new internal layouts, new finishes and services to suit. The external scope of works consisted of creating new roadways, car parks, pavements, fencing and soft landscaping.

Despite the many challenges faced during construction, this world-class sporting facility was delivered more than five weeks ahead of schedule. A major investment for the council, the new Diamond Valley SFC will be the home for 5,000 plus members and growing.
