Established in 1924, Loreto Mandeville Hall is an early learning, primary and secondary school for girls, located in Toorak. The school is named after the historic Mandeville Hall that anchors the campus and is the former home of the influential Clarke family. The mansion looks over the heritage-listed main grounds of the campus and the school’s buildings are arrayed in a cluster on the southern side of the original building.
This landmark project for Loreto Mandeville Hall involved the construction of the Mary Gonzaga Barry Sports Centre. The new centre included a 25m indoor pool, gym, basketball court, photography studio, multipurpose spaces, amenities area, and an underground car park.
As is the case with the majority of our projects, access to the site was very challenging due to ongoing school activities and council planning conditions. However, McCorkell successfully delivered the project a month ahead of the contracted completion date.
