McCorkell were tasked with building state of the art community facilities for the local residents of the newly established Saratoga Estate in Point Cook. This development provides an unrivalled level of amenity for a residential subdivision of this kind.

The project involved the design and construction of a single storey Childcare Centre with extensive play areas and landscaping works, and a Recreation Centre complete with a 25m indoor pool, splash pad, gym facilities and a café tenancy.

There was a number of key considerations for the project including the Recreation Centre having a highly articulated air-tight building envelope in order to ensure efficient energy management is maintained. There was also specialist aquatics trades that were engaged, and residential subdivision construction works that were ongoing, adjacent to the facilities.
