Following the successful delivery of two projects at Haileybury’s Keysborough campus, our team was engaged to deliver this important infrastructure upgrade at the Brighton campus. The project was secured through an early contractor involvement process, reflecting our established professional relationship with the school and further strengthening our partnership with Haileybury. The project centred on the construction of a new tiered canopy and lift structure, seamlessly linking multiple senior school buildings and providing fully compliant access across both ground and first floors.
Works commenced with the careful demolition of select campus areas to create space for the new canopy and deck. The completed infill zone now offers sheltered, weather-protected pathways featuring new ground-level decking and an elevated steel structure at level one. The scope also incorporated service upgrades to existing classrooms and extensive external landscaping improvements.
With site access extremely limited, meticulous planning and coordination were essential. Our team expertly managed subcontractors, students, staff, and other stakeholders to minimise disruption to school operations and maintain safety at all times. An accelerated construction program was implemented to ensure handover prior to the start of term, supported by out-of-hours works. The project was successfully delivered ahead of schedule – completed almost two weeks early.
