In a remarkable transformation, the Djerring Flemington Hub stands proudly in place of the former 60-year-old sports club pavilion and community centre. With a profound commitment to fostering a sense of belonging and connection, this visionary double-storey building has created a heart for local residents, community groups and sporting clubs.

Constructed to achieve a 5-Star Green Star rating, the new community hub stands as a testament to our collaboration with the Green Building Council of Australia. This sustainable architectural masterpiece showcases an exposed Glu-lam timber structure, merging innovative design with eco-conscious principles. Nestled within the serene confines of Debney’s Park, it beckons a vibrant, welcoming and versatile centre that provides places to gather, work, learn and play.

Within its walls, this community hub offers a wealth of possibilities. With an array of classrooms and activity rooms, a sprawling community hall and lounge, an acoustically treated recording studio, well-appointed change facilities, a canteen, a commercial kitchen, and consulting and office spaces, the Djerring Flemington Hub is equipped to cater to the diverse needs of the community.

In addition to constructing the new community hub, our works included extensive landscaping that envelops the surroundings, featuring a newly minted entry court, BBQ and meeting area, a park pavilion, basketball courts, cricket nets, engaging play spaces, and comfortable spectator seating for the adjacent ovals.

“Our Djerring Flemington Hub is now open. The Hub will be a focal point for employment and learning, with hundreds of supports and programs. From New Australians to our longest-standing clubs and organisations - we'll see you there soon, and for many generations to come.”
