The Caversham Valley Primary School Classroom Additions Project was undertaken to accommodate the school’s rapidly expanding student population. At its core is a brand-new, two-storey classroom building, providing 1,500m² of modern learning space.

This expansion effectively doubles the school’s capacity, delivering 11 classrooms, including General Learning Areas (GLA) and specialised science rooms. The facility also includes staff offices, storage, fully equipped toilets, spacious open corridors designed for collaborative learning, and a lift for improved accessibility.

Built to a 4-Star Green Star equivalency rating, the project integrated numerous environmental, energy, and sustainability measures. Perforated solar screen panels on the north and west facades provide shading and energy efficiency, reducing heat gain and enhancing indoor comfort. Soft landscaping seamlessly integrates the new structure with the existing school ground, while existing playground equipment was carefully relocated, complemented by new play elements.

This project delivers essential learning spaces, supporting the school’s continued growth while creating a dynamic and engaging environment for students and staff.
