Partnering with Clarke Hopkins Clarke, McCorkell Constructions was engaged to deliver an upgrade works package for Carnegie Primary School.

Delivered over four stages, the project was comprised of the construction of a new hard-court games hall, as well as the restoration and refurbishment of the existing Building 1, and refurbishments to Building 2. On top of the contracted works, there was demolition and hazardous materials removal and the addition of a synthetic track and field oval, landscaping, and an outdoor asphalt basketball court.

Works comprised a high level of finishes to the hard-court games hall including perforated ply walls, a polycarbonate screen feature wall allowing natural light to come in, and a retractable backboard system at both ends of the court.

The project team managed to reach practical completion three weeks earlier than scheduled, to the client’s satisfaction.
