The project consisted of alterations and additions to the existing Carine Tavern and the construction of a new 1,500m2 high bay Dan Murphy’s liquor outlet adjoining the existing Tavern. Work to the Tavern consisted of staged renovations of the kitchen, coolrooms, dining areas, bars and TAB encompassing a new fit out, fixtures and fittings.

New extensions to the tavern consisted of entry statements, the dining room and a new kitchen extension. The bar areas encompassed new architectural and cabinetry finishes and fixtures. The electrical, hydraulic, fire and mechanical services were all upgraded and completed over several stages.

Construction of the Dan Murphy’s involved tilt up concrete panels, polished concrete selling floors, Back of House facilities and a new loading dock. Externally reconfiguration and extension of the car park was also staged to maintain access and parking for the operating tavern and adjacent shopping center.

Work to the Carine Tavern was delivered over five stages to ensure the continued operation of the Tavern and TAB. Temporary facilities were provided and extensive hoarding was erected to provide dust protection for the patrons, staff and amenity. The proximity of an adjoining retaining wall required McCorkell Constructions to design and construct extensive underpinning to allow construction of inground services, retaining walls and a new carpark/delivery areas.
